Draft placeholder. Have this reviewed by a qualified lawyer before launch.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. They are used to remember choices, keep a site working across pages, and — where you allow it — measure how the site is used. Similar technologies such as localStorage are used for the same purposes and are covered by this policy.

How we use them

We keep our cookie use to the minimum needed to run the site, and we group cookies into three categories:

CategoryWhat it doesDefault
NecessaryStores your cookie choice and keeps the site working. Cannot be switched off.Always on
AnalyticsPrivacy-friendly, aggregated site analytics. No personal identifiers and no cross-site tracking. On
MarketingCampaign measurement and remarketing, so we can show relevant ads and measure them.Off

Cookies we set

Our own site sets a single first-party cookie:

We also store the same choice in your browser's localStorage under cb_cookie_consent. It contains only the categories you selected and a timestamp.

Third-party cookies

If you accept analytics or marketing cookies, the providers we use for those services may set their own cookies on their own domains. We do not control those cookies, and you can read more about them in our Privacy Policy.

How to change your choice

You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer, which reopens the same panel you saw on your first visit. Clearing your browser's cookies for this domain also resets the choice, so we will ask again next time.

Controlling cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies for a site. Blocking necessary cookies can stop parts of this site from working. Browser-level controls apply on top of — and can be stricter than — the choices you make here.
